Plum and Gold Royale

April and James wanted to set the tone for a 'royal' themed wedding. We did just that with the metallic plums and golds along with a fun vintage lace print. I love the reply card -- It was left blank intentionally for their guests to write their own reply. Very unique and always fun to see the response!

Green and Brown Organic Inspired

Lindsay and Tyler worked with one of my favorite color combinations ... lime green and brown. The long and narrow signature pocket is always fun to work with! Adding green organic elements throughout as well as finishing the piece of will a simple satin brown ribbon wrap definitely glams this piece up!

Save the Dates - Elegant little Lovelies

Six to seven months before your wedding is when you should consider sending out your save the date cards. Bellow is a little inspiration from Mr. Boddington!

Calligraphy

Absolutely love these hand-lettered pieces by Bryn of Brooklyn-based Paperfinger. A calligrapher that does a fabulous job on hand-lettering. She also offers a custom return stamp that beats having a machine-printed address!

Keep it Simple

I came across this poster and was reminded of all the swirls, flourishes and little extras we get caught up in when designing. Sometimes the most elegant and beautiful pieces are simple!

Personal Wedding Websites

Wedding websites allow you, as a couple, to share all the details of your wedding with friends and family no matter where they live. One important feature of wedding websites is of course photos. Remember, the friends and family of your fiancé may hardly know who you are, they will love seeing photos of you both. You can post photos from when you were little tikes right up to your engagement photos. Other great features you can make use of are:

Interactive Guestbook

Let your visitors leave their best wishes for you and your fiancée. Entries can be added in real-time with some services so that you can see who has visited your site and left comments.

Offer Directions

Setup a page on your wedding website to outline all the events and gatherings prior to your wedding. You can provide directions to your events and you could even upload maps or provide links to an online map service to assure no one gets lost.

Who is in your Wedding party?

Everyone always wants to know who you have selected to be in your wedding party. Create a special page just for them; include bios' photos' stories and more.

Link to Gift Registries

Letting people know where you are registered can sometimes be awkward since wedding etiquette claims listing your gift registry on a wedding invitation is a no-no. Adding this information to your site makes for a great way to let everyone know where you are registered.

Offer Online RSVP

Save time, money and stress by allowing guests to RSVP right on your own site. Most services offer this feature and will send you an e-mail immediately when someone RSVP's. You can also login to your site to the saved RSVP's to keep track of who has and hasn't responded.

Wedding Invitations: Etiquette

I recently met with a bride who had questions regarding proper etiquette on addressing wedding invitations. "How do you address an invitation to a widow?" I have never been asked this question in the past and decided to do a little research on proper etiquette. View the attached link for some helpful tips!

Gold and Ivory Plumes

Heather and Michael wanted nothing shy of elegance. What better colors to work with than gold and ivory! The elegant floral plumes on the outer folder were carried through to the Invitation as well as the RSVP and Reception Details.

Green Paisley Inspired - Save the Date

Jessica chose one of my favorite color pallets for a wedding. Greens and Browns are perfect for a Spring wedding! She wanted a very non-traditional save the date card so we used a custom die-cut folder that folds together and creates a gorgeous outer shell. Inside is custom calendar that gives guests the details of wedding dates and time.
